Visa OFF 2010 : Perpignan

Alongside Visa pour l'image (International Photojournalism festival) which is taking place this week in Perpignan, Visa OFF is being held which showcases amateur photography.

Visa OFF displays are present at the main Visa pour l'image festival venues but can also be found in the normal cafes, bars, restaurants & businesses of Perpignan.

Barcelona : Festa Major de Sants 2010

Check out the Festa Major de Sants in Barcelona this week as the Sants district celebrates its traditional summer festival.

Eté 66 : Music in Perpignan

The 22nd international festival of photojournalism will take place in Perpignan from Saturday 28th August to Sunday 12th September. The exhibitions are open every day from 10 a.m to 8 p.m, including week-ends.

Pablo Casals Festival 2010 in the Pyrénées-Orientales

Check out the Pablo Casals festival being held this week in Prades (Pyrénées-Orientales) and the surrounding area.

Started in 1950 in Prades, Pablo Casal’s adopted town, this festival continues to present an inspiring series of concerts played by some of the greatest musicians of our day.

USAP (Perpignan) v ASM Clermont - Stade Giral Perpignan

Friday 13th August 2010.

USAP (Perpignan) kick off the 2010/11 French Top 14 Rugby championship with a home match against Clermont on Friday 13th August. This promises to be a great occassion as it's a rematch of the Final of the Top 14 2009/10 season which Clermont won just 2 months ago!

Kick off is at 21:00 in Stade Aimé Giral, Perpignan.

Collioure Féria - 2010

Saturday 14th – Wednesday 18th August 2010.

This festival was first celebrated in the year 1701, on the day when the relics of St. Vincent, the patron saint of Collioure, were returned to the village.

The Catalan Procession on the Sea is a highlight of the celebrations and the streets are filled with music, dancing and all kinds of entertainment including one of the biggest fireworks displays in the Pyrenees Orientales. For further details read more at Anglophone-Direct.

Festival des Méditerranéennes - Leucate plage

Les Méditerranéennes music festival will take place again this year at the plage des Mourets, Leucate - 20 mins north of Perpignan.

The festival will feature a range of new and established talent and promises to offer a rich and varied programme.
