Winter-time in the Pyrénées Orientales - Clocks go back!

Sunday 31st October @ 1am

DON'T FORGET! : to reset your clocks before you go to bed tomorrow (Saturday night) as Sunday is the start of winter time in all across Europe & the Pyrénées Orientales.

For future reference, clocks always go forward in Spring on the last Sunday in March, and go back on the last Sunday in October.

France General strike info - October 28th 2010

FROGBUS.com SERVICES WILL RUN AS NORMAL, however, allow extra time for possible delays due to demonstrations & blockades in the Perpignan city centre area.
The strikes rumble on in France tomorrow, expect travel to be severely disrupted again as all major transport unions go on strike. Train services will be disrupted from 19:00 this evening until 08:00 on October 29th.

Expect disruption at French airports with air traffic controllers and other union groups joining the industrial action. Girona airport routes which overfly France are likely to experience cancellations and delays as a result of the action in France. Click here for a list of affected Ryanair flights.

Girona - Fira de Mostres 2010

Check out the Fira de Mostres in Girona this Halloween weekend where more than 100,000 visitors are expected at the 49th annual edition of this traditional fair. Sample local produce, attend a cultural workshop or choose a new interior design - there will be something to suit all tastes in the 50,000 sq metres of exhibition space.

Halloween in the Pyrénées-Orientales & Catalonia

Halloween holidays start today in the Pyrénées-Orientales - holiday traffic combined with the strikes which rumble on across France have the potential to cause delays and disruptions to travel plans.

Although Halloween isn't a traditional holiday in the Pyrénées-Orientales or in southern Catalonia, it has become increasingly popular in the past number of years. More next week on Halloween related events in the region.

Perpignan - Girona - Toulouse - Montpellier areas - French general strike disruption

Perpignan, Foire Saint-Martin 2010

Traditionally starting in the last week of October and continuing throughout November, one of the oldest travelling fairs in France makes it's annual visit to the Parc des Expositions in Perpignan.

France - General strike October 12th 2010

Festival Jazzèbre in Perpignan

Check out the 22nd Festival Jazzèbre which is running in Perpignan until the 17th October.

Festival Jazzèbre presents a series of jazz and world music concerts at the Théâtre Municipal and the Médiator in Perpignan, as well as other venues around the Pyrénées-Orientales department. This years theme is 'Great Black Music'
