Frogbus New Year 2010/11 Timetable

Frogbus will operate a reduced timetable on the Perpignan - Le Boulou - Girona airport line on New Years eve (31st December 2010) as follows :

Last departure from Perpignan at 14.30, last departure from Girona airport at 17.00. Earlier departures will run as normal - timetable here.

Ryanair agrees a 5 Year Extension of its Girona (GRO) Base

Ryanair has announced a five year extension if its low cost base at Girona Airport, which will see it base up to 10 aircraft at the airport delivering 4m+ passengers annually.

The summer 2011 schedule at Girona airport has 63 routes, including eight new routes to Cochstedt, Karlstad, Kristianstad, Plovdiv, Rzeszow, Szczecin, Skelleftea and Tallinn.

Frogbus Christmas 2010 timetable

Frogbus will operate a reduced timetable on the Perpignan - Le Boulou - Girona airport line on the 24th, 25th and 31st December as follows :

24th December 2010 : Last departure from Perpignan at 14.30, last departure from Girona airport at 17.00. Earlier departures will run as normal - timetable here.

25th December 2010 : No services in either direction.

31st December 2010 : Last departure from Perpignan at 14.30, last departure from Girona airport at 17.00. Earlier departures will run as normal - timetable here.

Christmas Ice Rink in Girona city

23 December 2010 - 9 January 2011

The Fira Girona (Girona Festival) building (map here) hosts an ice rink which opens next week until the 9th of January.

Opening hours are from 11am to 9.30pm most days and the ice rink closes at 7pm on Christmas eve and New Years eve.

Perpignan's date at the Nou Camp Barcelona confirmed

Weekend of April 15th 2010

The Top 14 rugby match between Perpignan (USAP) and Racing Metro will take place at Catalan football giants Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium on the weekend of April 15, the French Rugby National League (LNR) announced yesterday.

The announcement comes just three months after Paul Goze, president of Perpignan and his Barcelona counterpart Sandro Rosell had revealed that a domestic French Top 14 match would be played at the 98,000 seater stadium - Perpignan's Stade Giral only holds 15,000.

Christmas race at Palamós (Girona province)

17th - 22nd December 2009

Now in its 35th year the Christmas race at Palamós (on the Costa Brava Coast approx 50km from Girona) is an annual Regatta held in Palamós bay.

An internationally renowned race, it will feature entries from countries all over the world and is used extensively by teams preparing for the olympics and other major events.

Skis up in the Pyrenees and Andorra !

The first snowfalls have already started in the Pyrenees and Andorra: mountains and forests painted white, silence, stillness and a special light.

Now that the first flakes have fallen, and with the 8th of December a big Spanish holiday the ski season will kick off this week in the French Pyrenees and Andorra ski resorts.
