Expect to see lots of walkers, joggers and people of all ages, shapes and sizes exercising this weekend in Perpignan and throughout the Pyrénées-Orientales!

'Les Parcours du Coeur' is an intiative by the French Heart Association to encourage people to get fit and active.

New route between Girona (GRO) and Belgrade (BEG)

Balkans airline, Jat Airways is launching a regular scheduled service between Belgrade (BEG) and Girona (GRO) on Tuesdays and Saturdays from April 23rd.

Tour de Catalunya 2011 - Volta a Catalunya 2011

March 21st - March 27th 2011.

Check out cycling's third oldest race, the Tour de Catalunya which is taking place all this week. Held for the 1st time in 1911, the Volta a Catalunya is one of pro-cycling's top events.

Tuesday: Santa Coloma de Farners - Banyoles(169 km)

Wednesday: La Vall d'En Bas - Vallnord (184 km)

Black Music Festival 2011 in Girona

March 11 to April 15 2011

The Black Music Festival is held at different venues throughout Girona and its neighbouring Catalan town of Salt. The festival is dedicated to black culture and music & has an exciting extravaganza of exhibitions, dance, film and, of course, music.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, this year’s Black Music Festival has an extra special line-up, including Morcheeba, James Hunter, The Wailers and Esperanza Spalding.

2nd set of Formula One test days in Barcelona

8th - 12th March 2011 - 2nd chance to see F1 cars in testing

Barcelona and the Circuit de Catalunya will host a second series of Formula One Test days following the cancellation of the Bahrain tests and Grand Prix due to the civil disturbances in Bahrain.

The Formula 1 Teams have decided to return to the Circuit de Catalunya facilities, the only racetrack included in the World Championship where the F1 teams have tested this preseason. The Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona will host the Spanish Grand Prix on May 22nd 2011.
