International Piano festival 2011 Andorra

16th - 27th November 2011

The international Piano festival in Andorra has been a major feature of the cultural calendar in Andorra since 1995. Pianists from around the world compete for the Principality of Andorra piano award at various venues including Escaldes-Engordany, Encamp, La Massana, Ordino, Canillo et Sant Julià de Lòria. Toulouse short film festival 2011 - Séquence Court-Métrage

11th - 27th November 2011

The Toulouse short film festival - Séquence Court-Métrage - is on at the moment and runs until the end of November at venues around Toulouse.

Films are screened mainly at the Toulouse "Cinémathèque" and the ABC cinema, but also at other venues in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The films cover all genres and they compete for a variety of prizes offered by the Festival.

The Louvre museum comes to Girona !

You don't have to go to Paris to see the treasures of the Louvre museum!

CaixaForum Girona (map here) is currently hosting a collection from the Louvre which traces the history of Christians in Egypt. The exhibition takes a look at the three periods of Coptic civilization in Egypt: the Roman, Byzantine and Islamic periods - over 200 pieces are on display. Click here for full details.
